Feb 20, 2026
The U.S. Supreme Court held (6–3) that IEEPA does not authorize the President to impose tariffs — invalidating the IEEPA-based tariffs, including the April 2025 “reciprocal” tariffs and the fentanyl-related tariffs on Chinese, Canadian, and Mexican origin goods.
Mar 4, 2026
The Court of International Trade ordered CBP to liquidate or reliquidate all entries that are not yet final, without regard to IEEPA duties — the mechanism for refunds.
Now
Refunds are requested through CBP's CAPE claim portal: the importer of record or an authorized broker uploads the eligible entry summaries, and CAPE removes the IEEPA HTS numbers and refunds electronically. Processing can take months — which is why financing your claim can be worth it.
See if you're owed an IEEPA refund.
Most importers don't know which of their entries carried IEEPA duties — or whether those entries are still open for a refund. Evana connects to your CBP (ACE) data, pulls up to five years of entry history, and isolates every dollar of IEEPA duty you paid. No ACE account? Getting you set up is part of what we do.
- We reconstruct your full duty stack and flag IEEPA line by line.
- We tell you which entries are still eligible (not yet final) and which aren't.
- You get a clear, data-backed refund estimate — not a guess.

IEEPA refunds,
plainly answered.
What is an IEEPA tariff refund?+−
After the Supreme Court ruled in February 2026 that IEEPA tariffs were not authorized, importers who paid those duties can seek refunds on eligible entries through CBP.
Am I eligible for an IEEPA refund?+−
If you paid IEEPA duties on entries that aren't yet final, you're likely eligible. Evana confirms this directly from your CBP data.
How much can I get back?+−
It depends on how much IEEPA duty you paid on eligible entries. We calculate your estimate from your actual entry history — no guessing.
How are refunds processed?+−
Through CBP's CAPE claim portal. The importer of record or an authorized broker submits the eligible entry summaries; CBP removes the IEEPA HTS amounts and refunds electronically.
How long does it take?+−
CBP processing can take months. If you don't want to wait, Evana can help you finance against or sell your claim for cash now.
What does Evana charge?+−
